Held Memorial Day Weekend Corner of 5th and Hwy 101/Chetco Ave on Frontage Road. Set up - Friday, 6 pm - 8 pm or Saturday, 7:30-8:30am. (NO EARLY/LATE SETUP OR TAKEDOWN) Open Saturday, 9 am - 6 pm, Sunday, 10 am - 4pm.
The Azalea Festival Coordinators reserve the right to deny applications.
Hello, welcome to the annual Azalea Festival Street Market! Download both the map and assignment file and make sure to bring the information with you!
Please keep the following things to keep in mind:
1. Bring filled tent weights with you. There can be an afternoon breeze.
2. Hats and sunscreen are a must this year. Looks like sun all weekend long!
3. Please zip up your tent each night. Do not leave anything out that could blow away. If you are only using a canopy, please make sure chairs and tables are closed up so they don’t blow down. There is security overnight but we can’t be responsible for theft so don’t leave things out!
4. Day time parking up the hill at Ross Insurance is available for vendors, however, no leaving of vehicles overnight. Parking at Evergreen, Chase and Goodwill is not permitted and reserved for their business’s customers, as well as the Pacific Center in between Ross Rd and Pacific Ave (they will have vehicles towed if not a customer).
5. Food trucks will be at the north end of Frontage Road which lends to a more festive look from the highway. The goal is to be a “must stop” for all who pass by on Hwy 101.
6. Vendors can set-up Friday evening from 6 pm to 8 pm, NO early birds. There is a reason for the 6 pm set up time and if vendors show up before their approved set up time, there will be chaos. If you cannot set-up on Friday evening, I suggest you be at your site no later than 7:30 am Saturday morning. You must be ready to open at 9 am when people start to gather for the parade which starts at 10 am.
7. There are no early takedowns on any of the days, nor taking merchandise home, your booth must remain in place until Sunday at 4 pm.
8. Staff/Volunteers will be onsite Friday evening from 6 pm - 7:30pm for set-up. Please reach out if you have any problems.
9. Space assignments are final; do not ask to be changed/reassigned.
Remember, as we all come together for this event, we are creating a village where everyone's courtesy and help is appreciated. Please bring your own trash cans and help keep things neat and tidy around your booth area. Please dump your trash in the dumpster provided by the port-a-potties (not the regular trash cans). Food vendors DO NOT dump gray matter and bring your own trash cans.
Great care has been given to ensure each of you have a successful and profitable weekend. The City of Brookings has invested in a social media campaign, a lively website and a great line-up of events to attract visitors; we think this is going to be a great year!
*ATTENTION FOOD VENDORS: Please pay careful attention to your space/location and which side you are serving from and plan accordingly. You may need to back in or come from a different side than previous years. You can arrive an hour earlier than non food vendors to make sure you have space to maneuver. You can utilize the entrance to Frontage Road next to Chase Bank and in between Goodwill and Evergreen at that time, as they will not be blocked by other vendors yet. We have done this to ensure those that need power are on the correct side of the street.*
If for some reason you have any issues, please contact me (Brooklyn) on my cell phone via text during the weekend, 360.977.0577. Make sure to tell me who you are and what space #. My team and I will be there Friday night for set up, and I will be there throughout the other two/market days. I have other duties over the weekend so I will not be onsite the whole time.
If you have any emergency, please call the Brookings Police Department at 541.469.3318
